In a unique tie-up, Digby Morgan and it’s Australian affiliate, HR Partners, have both recently sponsored and supported the industry’s leading excellence awards in their respective countries.

Digby Morgan were a title sponsor at Human Resources magazine’s recent Excellence Awards 2006 and, in particular, of the award for HR Director of the Year – won by McDonalds’ David Fairhurst.

John Maxted, Digby Morgan’s CEO who was also a judge on the award’s panel, commented: “As a long time supporter of excellence in our industry we were proud to support the industry’s premier event and impressed by the level of expertise and dedication shown by the entrants. It made the final selection process an arduous, yet hugely satisfying, task ”.

Meanwhile, thousands of miles away in Australia, HR Partners was supporting the parallel, Best HR Director award. This prestigious award has just been won by Deloitte’s Alec Bashinsky, its National Director for People & Performance. Interestingly, the award for the CEO who best champions HR was also won by Deloitte – maybe a sign of the times as HR is increasingly aligned with senior business leaders and corporate success.
