-Digby Morgan in the Community

There’s been no let up in an action packed 2009 so far for the team at Digby Morgan when it comes to supporting and developing the work they do with the company’s designated charities.

The company is delighted to announce that it has extended its established links with leading homelessness charity Broadway with the development of new programmes with Tom Humphries, Broadway’s employability coordinator. Digby Morgan has put in place a scheme which aims to up-skill and assist job seekers who have been affected by homelessness and Digby Morgan consultants will interview and mentor ‘candidates’ preparing them for their job search. To date we have hosted two interview sessions, both of which were a great success and proved to be most helpful for the ‘candidates’ in terms of building their confidence and giving them practice of a formal interview scenario.

In a similar vein, the Digby Morgan team were delighted to be invited back by the Princes Trust to run a small series of workshops around the topic of employability and work placements. This has been well received so far although it has certainly tested the reserves of our consultants. It is both mentally and physically exhausting as the workshop is very active, as are the attendees, but also hugely rewarding to be able to utilise our skills outside of the workplace so positively. We quickly learnt that the key to keeping attention and retain control over the group seemed to lie in the copious distribution of Haribo!

The company continues to support Parents for Children - who recently merged with The Adolescent and Children’s Trust - and are very much looking forward to the prospect of supporting them when the London Triathlon comes around in the summer and the Digby Morgan team once again don their swimming, cycling and running attire.
