-New Faces

In a move that reflects the burgeoning demand for HR professionals across all sectors and regions in the UK, Digby Morgan has made a handful of senior and strategic appointments in both its London headquarters and in its Reading-based Thames Valley office.

Andy Montgomery has joined Digby Morgan’s Thames Valley operation to manage the office on a day to day basis and develop the interim market within the region. An experienced recruitment professional having spent the last nine years within the Reed Recruitment Group, Andy was most recently a National Recruitment Manager responsible for the management and development of several large national contracts, including one of the UK's leading banks.

Nicola Grimshaw, Digby Morgan’s director with overall responsibility for running the Thames Valley office, said: "We’re delighted to welcome Andy on board. He’s joining the Thames Valley team at a very exciting time as the new office is set to have a fantastic first year and the demand for interim HR staff remains extremely buoyant.”

Andy Montgomery added: “I'm thrilled to be joining such an established market leader within the HR sector like Digby Morgan and am looking forward to further developing the business in the Thames Valley region.”

A further key appointment in the company’s interim division has also been made and Digby Morgan director, Alistair Cook, introduces this second new senior consultant: “As well as the expansion in Reading, we’re also rapidly building the London-based interims team and the latest recruit to this team is Rachel Dow. Rachel has specialised for some years in financial services recruitment having spent time with both Parker Bridge and Witan Jardine. She will be taking responsibility for mid to senior level interim HR placements for a range of professional and financial services clients.”

A third senior appointment in Digby Morgan’s interim division is Kerryn Hooper who has recently arrived in the UK from her native Australia. Kerryn has many years of recruitment experience in several fields including HR and the financial services sector. Latterly she spent three years running a team of eight recruiters at Brisbane-based Davidson Recruitment.

“The UK’s interim HR sector is booming and I’m thrilled to have landed such a great role with the UK’s leading HR recruitment specialist in my first position since arriving in the country,” concluded Kerryn Hooper.

Lucy Wiggall, a Spanish and Italian graduate from Leeds Metropolitan University has also joined the interims team as a consultant. Prior to joining Digby Morgan she spent 18 months working and living in the British Virgin Islands and, before that, was on the graduate scheme at Michael Page Human Resources.

The final new member of the burgeoning interims team is Louise Blackmore. Louise has spend many years in the recruitment industry with the likes of Reed and, latterly, with Hays.
