Digby Morgan’s growing international presence
and influence isn’t restricted to new offices,
mergers and acquisitions. In some key territories,
strategic relationships will be forged, developed
and exploited and nowhere is this truer today than
in the US.
Ed
Coyle, the National Director at Human Resources International
(www.hri.com),
a fellow Vedior company in the US, takes up the story.
Here in the US, we are very excited about the huge
opportunities that we feel are going to open up for
all of us through this partnership with Digby Morgan
both in Europe and, through its recent acquisition
of HR Partners, in Australasia and the Far East.
HRi is the leading nationally recognised Human Resources
search firm in the United States. We began as a contract/interim
provider of recruiters from our Boston office in 1994.
By 1998, we’d expanded our practice nationally
to provide full-service HR staffing solutions to leading
firms with needs for contract, contract-to-hire and
permanent placement. Through the years we have grown
our practice with offices in New York, Boston, Chicago,
Washington, Houston, Dallas and Los Angeles. We are
currently in the process of opening up Charlotte,
North Carolina, and have our sights firmly set on
San Francisco and Minneapolis in the near future.
In the US, interim recruiters at all levels with
all specialisations continue to be in the greatest
demand for our Contract Staffing Division. The talent
shortage in the US continues to drive our clients
to focus more manpower in the areas of recruitment
and retention and doing so with contract labour allows
them the flexibility to staff up and down as staffing
levels fluctuate. Our Executive Search practice continues
to work with HR professionals with expertise in all
silos of HR, but generalists for senior management
roles is our greatest area of expertise.
2007 has been a year in which we have grown our National
Recruiting practice. This group specialises in working
with Fortune clients in geographic regions where HRi
does not have a physical presence. The National team
has done a terrific job in expanding our footprint
and allows us to proudly say that we can cover any
area of the US.
We are looking forward to continuing to build a relationship
with Vedior operating firms globally. There are so
many obvious advantages to having global partners
in the Human Resources placement business and each
partnership increases the distance between us and
the competition both in our core markets as well as
collectively.
