Welcome to the latest issue of Human Resourcefulness.

Obviously, it’s far too soon to start talking too loudly about ‘green shoots’ and the like, but people are certainly starting to whisper it in the HR world. Some new trends are starting to emerge which is leading to a fresh demand in the market for HR professionals at all levels and you can read more about our take on this, and other topical trends, in various updates from our offices in the UK, the Middle East and from the other side of the world in Australia.

Whilst on a ‘geographical’ note, we’re certainly not ‘riding out the recession’ and are continuing to develop our footprint in the UK and we now have a dedicated team focused on supporting our clients and candidates in Scotland.

Twice in a Row

I’d like to take this opportunity to share some more great news. This month Digby Morgan won Recruiter Magazine’s annual award for HR Recruitment Consultancy of the Year! Again! This means we have won this fantastic accolade for both years that this category has been awarded and is a testament to the outstanding job that the team at Digby Morgan undertakes on behalf of all our clients and candidates and I’d like to thank them publicly for their hard work, loyalty and commitment.

Strength to Strength

Human Resourcefulness continues to grow in terms of distribution and influence – in fact, our circulation is now on a par with many of the HR trade media. In addition to our regular market updates, in this issue we have invited international leaders in their field to discuss highly topical issues such as emotional intelligence, age diversity, interim coaching and we even take a look at how AXA is utilising the latest in strategic workforce planning to make significant cost savings.

Once again, I’d like to thank everyone for continuing to support Digby Morgan as a client, candidate or member of staff. I hope you enjoy reading the latest news from Digby Morgan and welcome your feedback on any of the issues we have raised.
