Human Resourcefulness
2007 has proved
to be yet another exciting year for both Digby
Morgan and the wider HR world!
I mentioned in the last
issue of Human Resourcefulness, that
we’ve been busy on the international acquisition
front and now I’m delighted to announce
an evolution of our brand which reflects the
way our business is growing on a global scale.
Research from around the world has shown us
that the Digby Morgan umbrella brand is by far
our greatest asset so, as we continue our domestic
and international growth, we’ve also taken
the opportunity to make a couple of changes
in our lines of business in order to further
exploit this advantage.
All of your usual contacts and relationships
will remain exactly the same as before, but
our HR Interims and HR Resourcing brands will
henceforth operate under the Digby Morgan brand.
From both a commercial and strategic perspective,
both of these areas of specialism are key to
Digby Morgan, our continued growth and the premier
service we offer clients and candidates alike.
As you will read elsewhere in this newsletter,
they continue to go from strength to strength
with experienced new faces swelling their ranks
daily and I fully anticipate that this will
continue for many years to come.
Vedior and Randstad
Finally, you may have read about the possible
merger between our parent company, Vedior Holding,
and Randstad Holding. This has not been concluded
as yet but we’re hugely excited about
the additional possibilities this would open
up for the Digby Morgan Group.
The current situation is that the two groups
have announced that they have reached a preliminary
agreement on combining the two companies into
the second largest HR services company worldwide.
Vedior and Randstad are both important firms
in the staffing industry. We are very excited
about the potential that may open up when our
two firms cooperate. Combining both business
portfolios will lead to best in class service
offering across market segments.
However, at this stage it is not yet certain
that the merger will be completed. Vedior and
Randstad will seek to obtain all necessary regulatory
and competition approvals and clearances and
will complete all requisite employee consultation
and information processes as soon as reasonably
possible. As long as the merger is not completed,
Vedior and Randstad will continue to operate
as independent organisations.
Regardless of the outcome of this process, we
will continue to provide you with the best service
possible. We will keep you informed of any significant
developments.
Please feel free to contact me with any of your
thoughts or feedback and I’d like to wish
you all the best of luck for 2008.
