Welcome to the spring issue of Human Resourcefulness which see Digby Morgan celebrating two significant landmarks

Firstly, it was 20 years ago last month we opened for business. The HR sector has changed beyond all recognition over the last couple of decades and it’s no coincidence that the success, growth and dominant market position of our company is mirrored by the rise of HR in corporate life today.

The second landmark surrounds our continuing international expansion. We now employ almost 100 specialist HR recruitment consultants operating on global client briefs in offices from London to Sydney and have a new dedicated team in place that is focused exclusively on exploiting the burgeoning HR opportunities for clients and candidates alike in the booming market of Dubai and the wider middle-eastern regions.

A Softening Market?

There is an abundance of media speculation regarding a possible downturn in the economy and some in our industry comment on preparing for more ‘challenging’ times. However, despite the current difficulties being reported as a result of the global credit crunch we are still seeing plenty of activity in the market and are still predicting a great year with further growth. There is a shortage of talent in the HR market and there will always be great opportunities for good candidates.

Once again I’d like to thank everyone for consistently choosing Digby Morgan to source HR talent and to make career moves. We appreciate the belief that you have shown in our brand over the past 20 years which has been key to our success.

I hope you enjoy our newsletter and please do come back to me with your feedback for future editions.

John Maxted
CEO
