Digby
Morgan on the Up Down Under
Digby
Morgan, the UK’s leading specialist HR search
and selection consultancy, has made its first
international acquisition with the purchase of
its long-standing Australian affiliate, HR Partners.
“2007
is proving to be yet another exceptional year
for the Digby Morgan Group both here in the UK
and overseas,” said company CEO, John Maxted.
“The Australian HR market is hugely buoyant
and we have enjoyed a long and fruitful relationship
with HR Partners that stretches back many years.
The opportunities for growth in the region are
significant and HR Partners will form the hub
of a new Digby Morgan Asia Pacific network that
we expect to grow both organically and through
further acquisitions.

“The acquisition of our Australian affiliate
is a natural first step in an international growth
programme and is the launch pad of our long-term
ambition and commitment to make Digby Morgan a
global brand in HR recruitment,” added Maxted.
David Owens, managing director of HR Partners,
added: “We’ve worked closely with
John and his team in the UK for many years and
have always been tremendously impressed with the
company, its ethos and its success. When I first
met John, Digby Morgan consisted of just six consultants.
Now they employ over 50 specialist HR recruitment
experts and are acknowledged as the UK’s
premier supplier of HR talent. It's this success
and dedication that HR Partners is subscribing
to and we’re extremely excited about the
future and the role we will play in the company’s
overall growth plans!”
“As part of the global Vedior Group ourselves,”
continued John Maxted, “we are exceptionally
well placed to continue our growth overseas as
this deal illustrates. However, we will not be
taking our eye off the ball back here in the UK
and will be making further announcements soon
about Digby Morgan’s domestic UK growth
- both in London and the regions.”

a thorny issue that today is taxing many of those involved
in the publishing and recruitment worlds. Are potential candidates
now more inclined to search for their next career move online
or is there still an important role for traditional print
media? Digby Morgan’s latest research programme throws
some light on the issue.
